SC rejects Arnab’s request seeking CBI probe, entends his protection for another three weeks

New Delhi (SPB) :  Supreme Court rejects Arnab Goswami’s request seeking CBI probe into FIR regarding the allegation of hate speech pertaining to his remarks on the Palghar lynching incident.  The apex court ordered the Mumbai polis to go ahead with its own investigation |  The apex court bench headed by Justice DY Chandrachud also refused to quash the May 2 FIR registered against Goswami for allegedly hurting religious sentiments by making derogatory remarks on the Palghar lynching incident.However the court  extended protection from arrest to Goswami for another three weeks and aslo ordered Mumbai Police Commissioner to give protection to Goswami.
