Bengaluru: Indian Men's Hockey 'A' Team drew 1-1 with South Korean National Team in the first practice match here at the Sports Authority of India, Campus here in Bengaluru on Tuesday.

The South Korean Team, who are here to gain practice ahead of the Asian Games in Jakarta next month, began the match with a good defensive structure. Playing full press, Korea ensured they kept India from making potential forays into the striking circle. Though India won a PC in the first quarter, Rupinder Pal Singh's flick rebounded off the post.

After a goalless first two quarters, South Korea made the first breakthrough with a field goal by Seo Inwoo in the 31st minute.  India made some good attempts for a field goal in the following minutes however, could not convert. In the 48th minute, India scored a field goal through Armaan Qureshi.

Though South Korea created a PC too in the second quarter, good defending kept them from scoring and taking a lead.
