Total Capacity Developed for 1345 Patients in Odisha<\/h3>\nTotal Capacity Developed for 1345 Patients in Odisha<\/h3>\nBhubaneswar(Shasak Prashasak) : Odisha is racing ahead in\u00a0 its preparedness to provide treatment facilities to\u00a0 Covid 19 patients. Today, the state government’s third facility, a 500 bedded\u00a0 Odisha Covid Hospital,\u00a0 \u00a0plus 25 beded ICU facility at SOA campus 2 has been made ready to serve. The state facility will be managed by SUM Medical College & Hospital supported by MCL .<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik interacted with the doctors and healthcare workers of the hospital through video conferencing\u00a0 He appreciated their commitment to serve people during this global pandemic. He, also thanked Union Ministers.. Shri joshi and Sri Dharmendra pradhan .for their support and MCL for sponsorsing this facility for people of odisha. CM further appreciated SOA for setting up this facility in record time.<\/p>\n

Union Petroleum, and steel\u00a0 Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan\u00a0 appreciated the initiatives taken by the odisha Govt in the fight against\u00a0 \u00a0 Corona . He also called upon all cutting across caste creed and party line\u00a0 to follow the advice of both Govt of India and Govt of Odisha\u00a0 \u00a0for the betterment of\u00a0 human society Union minister mining and parliamentary affairs\u00a0 Shri Prahalad Joshua assured all support from Govt of India in this united fight against Corona He also indicated about establishment of more covid hospitals in odisha in cooperation with PSUs under mining ministry<\/p>\n
Odisha has been a leader in Covid preparedness. It all started withThe Chief Ministers Wash-Your-Hand Campaign along with the speaker, opposition leaders,ministers and MLA s. Social Distancing, Hand washing, and all other WHO norms have been brought into practice much earlier.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Two other Covid hospitals have also been kept ready to meet any challenge that might come in future. Of these two Hospitals, one has been developed by KIMS, a 500 bedded facility, and the other be Ashwini Hospital Cuttack with a facility of 125 beds. Besides\u00a0 at district level the district administration of sundergarh has established a\u00a0 200 beded dedicated covid\u00a0 hospital at Rourkela\u00a0 with Hi tech MC&hospital The total bed capacity for Covid patients now stands at 1345..<\/p>\n
It was also informed that odisha govt has started work to set up 4lakh isolation bed facilities in 7000 Panchayats .The state Govt\u00a0 is also\u00a0 going to set up two dedicated covid hospitals\u00a0 at Angul and kendrapada\u00a0 in cooperation with Sum hospitals\u00a0<\/p>\n
