Odisha Police has bagged the SKOCH Award for it's Dynamic Web Portal

  Sanjeeb Panda, IG SAP received the award on behalf of Odisha Police during 52nd SKOCH Summit -2018 held on 23rd June 2018 at New Delhi. 

Bhubaneswar/ Girija Dash :  Odisha Police has bagged the SKOCH Award for it's Dynamic Web Portal(www.odishapolice.gov.in) .  Sri Sanjeeb Panda, IG SAP received the award on behalf of Odisha Police during 52nd SKOCH Summit -2018 held on 23rd June 2018 at New Delhi.  

Odisha Police Dynamic Web Portal was designed and developed by Suyog Computech on complementary basis under the techical support of NIC Bhubaneswar. The Web Portal was formally launched during the year 2014 and during last four years it has attracted more than 15 crore visitors. Though it's citizen portal integration, it provide various citizen centric online police services to the citizens. It also caters to the requirements of it's 72000 strong personnel in more than 90 establishments spread all over the state.

Under the dynamic leadership of our DGP Dr RP Sharma, Odisha Police has been able to create a sense of security among the citizens. through a process of meaningful two way interaction with the stake holders, online access to varied police services, updated and accurate information on different aspects of policing through a well laid out robust mechanism. The Police from Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Mizoram, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Gujrat etc had nominated different projects for the award. The Odisha Police had nominated the dynamic Web Portal for the award. Odisha Police had submitted its project to Skoch after their advertisement in their website. After scrutiny, Odisha Police was invited to make the presentation. We had made the presentation before the jury members in Delhi. After that it was shortlisted for public online voting in which Odisha Police secured the top slot. After that Odisha Police participated in the National Exhibition on State of Governace organised by the Skotch group held in Delhi, where the delegates and the experts casted their votes in favour of different projects. Based on the overall performance in the presentation round, public voting round, performance in the exhibition, Odisha Police has been conferred Skoch Gold Award in a function held at Constitution club of India on 23.6.2018.

It is integrated to Govt. to Citizen Application system of Govt. of Odisha. It helps in instant and easy communication between the Government Offices and citizens resulting in the speedy redressal of their grievance.

With integration of social media, Odisha Police reached out to the citizens on various important issues. There is healthy two way communication between police and citizens.

CITIZEN SERVICES The Citizen Portal is people-friendly initiative and the platform introduced to provide online services for citizen under CCTNs project with several state level customisation. The status of service request registered also can be tracked through the citizen portal.
